Only a week in possession of the Casio Forester FT500, but I was impressed with the clock for less than $ 20.
E 'half the price of the dead Timex 2812 replaced (water damage, said the jeweler, but the Timex served its purpose for several years) as my main clock for kayaking, snorkeling and mountain biking - all activities in which I no longer wear expensive watches.
Before buying, I was the most plastic (resin), the construction, and the depth of whichhalf an inch on the body clock (which is quite thick).
now, it is worn, do not think it matters much.
I like:
- Value. Retail list is $ 29, Amazon, of course, the better.
- High visibility.
- The earth-tone color scheme.
- Very easy on the wrist, constitutes for most of the thickness of the case.
- Backlight Excellent (I prefer the Timex Indiglo blue, but ...)
- It 's been wet, and still keeps perfect time.
- Water resistance Now100 meters (300 feet).
- Strap with Velcro closure decent style makes it easy to adjust, no ties of metal to fit the smaller wrist.
The things that prevent them from super:
- It 's plastic, no doubt. Other guests are guaranteed for the duration of the clock, so it does not seem to be a big problem.
- I think are the characteristics of skin, looking on the strip of plastic, too. They seem ... just OK.
- Although there is an evaluation of 100 meters, waterproof,Instructions to warn against use for diving. I do not think, almost every water sport divers is over 50 meters. Can I use it for diving anyway.
But on the whole satisfied with the Casio - for under $ 20!
