This is great product. G-2900 is my first G-Shock, so really can not compare with the other G-shocks. Well, first of all, I bought it from Macys 1V G 9000, and then returned. G 9000 is also great to see, I did just look back and made a plea for more sports / out, thats why I like this look bought and suddenly find that there are habit most of my office-ware.
Now back to G-2900
Likes:
1) There are 10 yr battery life.Leave some say do after changing the battery (open) at one point they broke their water resistance. I was thinking of buying a battery.
I use the latest 3 months). Hopefully atlest battery runs 6-8 years.
2) I can save important numbers in internal memory. I ofter forget my phone at home / car / gym, and I do not remember, phone numbers. Sun memory helps me.
3) It has 4 normal alarms, one (SNZ snooze) Alarm & 1 SIG (my fav) alarm. wellPart 4 regular alarm can show 3-letter description of the screen. I have some "training" 19.00. When the alarm goes off at 07.00, only shows 3 letter "Gym" on the screen.
GIS is my favorite. If there is to it beeps twice an hour. Sometimes the office can not see now. GIS, but remember, every hour and I can return to work.
4) when driving at night, "Auto EL Backlight with Afterglow is very practical. Just move your hand 30-40Degree and lights the backlight automatically.
Dislikes:
1) Backlight illuminates for 1-2 seconds, that bothered me for some time. Many times I forget the night the alarm device. And then there are none (or do not know how to turn on again), turn the light on for a long time, so I can set up alarm. The same happens when you drive at night, when the timer setup or want to see the world only time backlight turns on for 1-2 seconds when I move my hand, but can not see much inthat the long term.
Throughout its large clock. I love it. I totally recommend buying it. I bought from Kohl's. So comments like Amazon carrying handle / returns / warranty and everything.
